In this photo street lights along the Najma Street, in front of Kahramaa Awareness Park, can be seen still switched-on in broad daylight this afternoon (12:45pm). Interestingly Kahramaa, the distributor of utilities, through its various campaigns, such as upcoming educative Awareness Park and Tarsheed (National Programme for Conservation and Energy Efficiency), is striving to reduce the per capita water and electricity consumption in Qatar by 35 percent and 20 percent, respectively until 2017. Per capita consumption of water and electricity of Qatar is one of the highest in the world.
