Doha: In-form Qatar reached the quarter-finals of the 11th U-19 Asian Championship after defeating Syria 42-29 for a fourth consecutive victory in Amman yesterday.
Qatar topped Group B with eight points, having earlier beaten Saudi Arabia 30-22, Kuwait 30-19 and Iran 24-22.
Qatar will now look to maintain its winning run and challenge for the title, underlining the continued development of Qatari handball and its strong presence on the Asian scene.
