Doha: Aspire Zone Foundation has announced that registration for the first edition of “Run the Dome” has reached full capacity.
The event is scheduled to take place on Friday and Saturday, August 28-29, 2026, inside the Aspire Dome, following strong interest and participation from members of the community.
With the available capacity now fully booked, registration for the race has officially closed.
“Run the Dome” offers a unique sporting experience that brings together members of the community with different levels of fitness in a fully air-conditioned environment. The race features a 4.8km course inside the Aspire Dome, providing participants with an enjoyable sporting challenge and an opportunity to experience an exciting atmosphere with family and friends.
The event features women-only and open races, along with a range of interactive activities and cheering points along the course, creating an energetic atmosphere and enhancing the spirit of participation, making “Run the Dome” a distinctive sporting and entertainment experience for the community. The race schedule for the upcoming events has been released, with activities set to take place over two days.
On Friday, August 28, the Women’s Race will be held from 7am to 11am. Organisers have noted that male staff members will be present as part of the event’s operational and media coverage teams during the Women’s Race.
This will be followed by the Open Race, scheduled from 2pm to 8pm. On Saturday, August 29, the Open Race will run from 8am to 8pm. Aspire Zone Foundation invites all members of the community to attend, join in the excitement, enjoy the activities taking place throughout the event, and cheer on the participants throughout the races, in an atmosphere that brings together sport, excitement, and entertainment.
