French Pavilion to showcase 40 companies at Milipol Qatar

DOHA: Forty French companies engaged in the business of manufacturing security, surveillance and defence systems and equipment will be exhibiting at Milipol Qatar 2012 to be hosted in Doha.
 
The participation of French companies is being co-ordinated by Eden, the 1st French cluster dedicated to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) working in internal security and safety, along with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Lyon, according to a media statement on behalf of French companies.
 
Milipol Qatar is a worldwide exhibition on internal state security and is the forum for manufacturers, suppliers of products and services in the security sector and decision makers and government officials worldwide to meet.
 
The latest technologies in the public security sector are exhibited and numerous contracts are signed. This event covers the whole geographical zone Near East, Middle East, Africa and Asia.
 
Middle East Countries have significant and clearly defined needs in protecting their populations and industrial sites, petrol and gas platforms, security for land and sea borders, access control, systems for controlling documents, video surveillance, police and Special Forces equipment, global security of industrial sites.
 
At the 2010 edition of the expo, 222 exhibitors from 33 countries and 4,816 visitors from 61 countries had participated. (QNA)
