Doha: Ooredoo and potential.com will host a workshop for small and medium businesses this week as part of a programme to share best practices for companies in Qatar.

The Small and Medium Enterprise Evolution Programme (SMEEP), developed by potential.com and sponsored by Ooredoo and QNB, has been supporting participating companies with live webinar training sessions throughout the year.

The new live workshop will provide more in-depth information and access to experts for SMEs.

Sessions at the workshop will focus on key issues for businesses, including strategy, innovation, planning, and financial development.

There will also be specialist sessions on how the new generation of communication technology can empower companies to be more competitive and drive their businesses locally and internationally.

Ooredoo’s business team will present new ideas regarding the potential impact of fibre services for small and medium companies.

Ooredoo’s sponsorship of the SMEEP series is part of the company’s strategy of focusing on the needs of the small business sector and builds on its history of working closely with companies through advisers and the support of its Business Centres.

Ooredoo is in the process of updating its portfolio of products for small and medium businesses.

It is revamping everyday services such as mobile calling and data access for businesses and introducing new innovations such as Ooredoo Business Fibre for SMEs.

As well as technology and business advisers from Ooredoo, the workshop will also feature sessions with banking and finance experts on sources of capital and fund-raising ideas for SMEs.

The Ooredoo and QNB-sponsored initiative is a free event for all SMEs.

It aims to empower enterprises in Qatar by providing them with essential information.
