Doha: Ooredoo will officially launch the latest model of iPhone 6 and 6 Plus on Saturday and has confirmed the company will have stock available in stores in response to significant customer demand in Qatar.
The next generation iPhone 6 and 6 Plus are the biggest advancements in iPhone history yet, featuring an impressive A8 chip, 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch Retina HD displays, and an all-new dramatically thin design.
The devices are also 4G enabled, meaning they’ll work seamlessly with Ooredoo’s world-class 4G network, giving customers access to superfast mobile data speeds and the smoothest browsing experience in Qatar.
For the iPhone 6, customers can choose from the 16GB model in silver, space grey or gold for QR2799, the 64GB device for QR3199, or the 128GB for QR3599. The larger iPhone 6 Plus will cost QR 3199 for the 16GB model (all colours), QR 3599 for the 64GB, and QR3999 for the 128GB device (based on availability).
Customers have been able to pre-order the devices online via Ooredoo’s eShop since 19 September, 2014. The pre-order launch, which began at midnight last Friday had thousands of people visiting the company’s eShop to pre-order the latest device. Ooredoo has said this was the biggest smartphone pre-order launch the company has seen, and has congratulated customers for being part of history.
Anyone who has pre-ordered the phone will receive an SMS and email message, inviting them to come to a selected Ooredoo branch and pick-up their reserved device. Customers unable to purchase a device at the weekend will be able to buy their selected model on Ooredoo’s eShop after the weekend, as the company works to ensure more stock in the coming weeks.
The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus will be available at the HQ2 Airport and Lagoona Mall Ooredoo Shops from Saturday, but the company has said to watch its social media pages as it will add more branches over the weekend. The Smartphones will be available from all Ooredoo shops starting next week.
