Islamabad: Police thwarted yesterday an attempt to blow up the residence of Pakistan Muslim League’s (PML) former Member of National Assembly (MNA) Anjum Aqeel Khan in Islamabad, according to media reports.

Officials said unknown miscreants had planted explosive material outside the house of Pakistan Muslim League’s former MNA, Anjum Aqeel Khan, in Golra area of Islamabad’s Sector 11.

The PML’s family members informed the police about the bomb which was concealed in a bag. Bomb Disposal Squad was immediate called by the police to defuse the bomb.
