NEW YORK: Qatar's Permanent Delegate to the United Nations Sheikha Alyaa Ahmed bin Saif Al Thani has presented her credentials to United Nations Secretary-General Ban ki-Moon.
Sheikha Alyaa conveyed greetings of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to the UN Secretary-General.
During the meeting, she underlined Qatar's care and support of the United Nations principles and reiterated the importance of the role played by the global organization in maintaining international security and peace.
For his part, the UN Secretary-General praised the role played by the State of Qatar at the United Nations in all fields. (QNA)
