Losail Circuit braces for WorldSBK action

DOHA: For the third year in a row, the Losail International Circuit will host the finale of the WorldSBK from October 28 to 30 under floodlights.
The state-of-the-art track debuted on the WorldSBK calendar in 2005 until 2009 when the event was run in day light but a couple of seasons ago the same race returned to the circuit for the first time under lights drawing huge crowds.
Not only the WorldSBK Championship title will be decided at the Losail International Circuit between Jonathan Rea (462) and Tom Sykes (414) but the runner-up spot is also up for grabs between Tom Sykes and Chaz Davies (395) .
As part of the WorldSBK event program, all the fans can enjoy and get closer to the riders and teams in the Paddock Show activities organised by WorldSBK that will be scheduled during the weekend.
On Friday, October 28, the Paddock Show will run from 22:30 to 23:00 with the WorldSSP top three riders and the WorldSBK top three riders together with the local hero Saeed Al Sulaiti on the opening day’s show.
The Paddock Show October 29, runs from 21:00 to 22:00 with the WorldSSP qualifying show, the WorldSSP Meet ‘n’ greet and the WorldSBK Race 1 & Qualifying show.
On Sunday, the fans can meet the riders in the WorldSBK Meet ‘n’ greet at 18:45 with competitions and chat shows. In the giant screen located at the Paddock Show, the races, free practices and super poles will be shown live with commentary.
There will be an exclusive motorbike parking inside the Paddock for all the bikers that come to the event with any ticket of the event.
For those need an adrenaline rush and fun with friends, the Go Karting track will be open during the three-day event from 16:00 to 22:00.
As a novelty this year, the 2016 Motul FIM Superbike World Championship – Prize Giving Show will be at the Paddock after the Podium Ceremony of the WorldSBK Race 2 and the first 2,00 guests with grandstand ticket will have the opportunity to share this important moment with the championship winners.
On Friday, WorldSBK and WorldSSP Free Practices are scheduled from 16:30 until 22:00 and on Saturday both Superpoles will be from 17:30 to 19:10.
With the new format implemented this season, on Saturday it will take place Race 1 of WorldSBK at 20:00, so the fans will have the chance to feel the adrenaline of the races during the 2-day event.
Sunday will be dedicated to Warm Up sessions before WorldSSP Race starts at 19:15 and WorldSBK Race 2 is at 21:00.
The organisers have priced the tickets keeping in mind affordability for the racing fans.
The grandstand ticket is QR 100 for the three-day event.
The three-day ticket will give access to the Paddock for the first 2,000 guests.
The WorldSBK VIP Lounge tickets are priced at QR 1,200 each for Saturday and Sunday and QR 700 for Sunday.
