Doha: Qatar Moms (QAMO), one of the fastest growing social groups of women in Qatar, recently celebrated its second anniversary in the Boutique Hotel by Tivoli in Souq Waqif.
Arti Gautam, first runner-up of Mrs Asia Pacific Beauty Pageant 2022 and winner of India-IMP Tourism Award 2021, and Pooja Romel, title holder “Mrs Supranational” in Haut Monde Mrs. India Worldwide 2022, were felicitated at the event. Celebration was emceed by RJ Aafrin Khan who brought life into the event.
Over 160 ladies were part of the celebration which had competitions, performances, games, raffles, innumerous gifts, prizes and give-aways. “Jodi Kamal Ki” Competition, which was a couple (both women) ramp walk with a twist, received much appreciation and cheers.
Participants dawned looks of a couple from two different states, political figures, famous movie and fictional characters and many more kept the hall’s spirits high! The competition was judged by every attendee and this ensured the involvement of everyone and the judgement being fair.
On the occasion, Deepa Jaiswal, Head of QAMO said the strength of this beautiful community of moms, has laid on the ideology of respecting the difference and understanding each other. The community is about having a space safe for mothers to come together as a community and support each other in need.
She further spoke about QAMO’s inception and its journey so far and told how ecstatic they were for having set a benchmark by becoming the fastest growing and largest WhatsApp group in Qatar. She thanked Neha Kare and everyone for their trust and support that led them to being a group of almost 4,000 members.
Declaration of the winners of the competition was announced on the same day. Prizes to the winners, and gifts and certificates to every participant were awarded. The celebration also had a surprise performance by the admin team Deepa Jaiswal, Beenaa and Neha Agarwal.
QAMO is the Qatar chapter of Unimo Universe of Moms which is the world’s largest community of mothers with more than 5,000 registered mothers.
Unimo Universe of Moms is founded by Neha Kare Kanabar and they have chapters in 22 cities across the globe , Qatar being one of the important chapter amongst these 22 locations.
QAMO was created by Deepa Jaiswal in July 2020 with an objective of bringing all the mothers based in Qatar together to create a community full of love, support, and respect.
