DOHA: HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani met at his Emiri Diwan Office on Monday morning with HE New Zealand's Ambassador to Qatar Rod Harris who called on HH the Emir to greet him on the occasion of the end of his tenure in the country.
At the outset of the meeting, HH the Emir wished HE New Zealand's Ambassador success in his future assignments and the relations between the State of Qatar and New Zealand further progress and prosperity.
For his part, HE the Ambassador expressed thanks and appreciation to HH the Emir and the State's officials for the cooperation he received during his term of duty in Qatar.
Emir receives credentials of 8 new ambassadors
HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani received at the Emiri Diwan office on Monday the credentials of eight new ambassadors to Qatar.
HH the Emir received the credentials of Their Excellencies the Ambassadors Ahmet Demirok of Turkey, Met'eb Saleh Al-Mototah of Kuwait, Shingo Tsuda of Japan and Patrick Hennessy of Ireland.
HH the Emir also received the credentials of Their Excellencies the Ambassadors Kayvam Karibjanian of Armenia, Anders Stenberg of the Kingdom of Norway, Dick Patrick Esparon of Seychelles and Roman Golovchenko of the Republic of Belarus.
The Ambassadors conveyed the greetings of their countries' leaders to HH the Emir and their wishes of further progress and prosperity to the Qatari people.
HH the Emir welcomed the new ambassadors and wished them success in their missions.
The ambassadors were accorded official receptions at the Emiri Diwan. (QNA)
