DOHA: The Al Watan roundabout leading to the Industrial Area is being converted into a three-level intersection with bridge, interchange and underpass.
The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has provided a large, temporary gyratory roundabout around the existing one to carry out construction work.
This will be complimented with temporary traffic diversions on the Industrial Area’s 33 Street, East Industrial road and Industrial Area road starting from tomorrow until the end of next year.
Traffic will be diverted from routes leading to Al Watan roundabout and coming from the Industrial Area’s 33 Street, East Industrial road, and Industrial Area road to the routes highlighted in green in the attached map.
Ashghal said yesterday work on Al Watan roundabout will not close or affect any of the streets in the project’s area, and that it had equipped all diversions with signage to provide correct guidance to motorists.
