Delhi/Mumbai: President Pranab Mukherjee and Prime Minister Narendra Modi yesterday condoled the death of veteran Congress leader and former federal minister Murli S Deora.
Murli Deora died in Mumbai at 3.25am yesterday.
He was 77 and is survived by his wife and two sons, including former union minister of state Milind M Deora. The president said that in his passing, the nation has lost an eminent leader and social worker, whose long years in public service will be remembered for years to come. Congress president Sonia Gandhi called Deora “a symbol of Congress Party in Mumbai”. IANS
