DOHA: Commercial Bank has announced the promotion of Omran Al Sherawi (pictured)to Head of Asset and Liabilities Management, said a statement yesterday.
In recent years, Omran has emerged as a leader within Commercial Bank after a successful track record in previous positions and his promotion underscores the Bank’s commitment to developing home-grown talented staff.
Commenting on the appointment, Abdulla Saleh Al Raisi, Commercial Bank’s CEO, said: “Omran has played an integral part in Commercial Bank’s growth and success due to his initiative, hard work and strong Qatari relationships. Commercial Bank continues to invest heavily in human capital in line with the National Vision 2030 through wide ranging support for our Qatari National staff. I am delighted to see talented and capable Qatari leaders such as Omran rising from within our business who understand Qatar step up in critical roles at the Bank.”
Omran has over ten years of experience with Commercial Bank and most recently held the roles of Head of Project Management Office and Vice-President of Wholesale Banking division at the Bank. Now, Omran will play an instrumental role in providing funding and liquidity to ensure Commercial Bank’s continued robust growth as a strategic partner for all Qatari businesses.
