Doha: Reach Out To Asia’s (Rota) Volunteer Programme celebrated Qatar National Day 2012 with kids with special needs at the Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) Children’s Rehabilitation Centre. The team of Rota volunteers joined representatives of several community based organisations to spend National Day playing traditional games and enjoying face painting and henna with 3-to-6 year-olds at the HMC Children’s Rehabilitation Centre, located at Rumailah Hospital.
“Celebrating Qatar National Day at the Children’s Rehabilitation Centre provided a memorable experience for everyone involved, and reflects the commitment of Rota and our volunteers to give back wherever possible to all sections of the community,” says Rota Director Mohamed Abdulla Saleh. The Rota Volunteer Programme is now looking forward to introducing a regular programme of visits to the Children’s Rehabilitation Centre, with volunteers providing assistance to Centre staff on a regular basis. The Peninsula
