Doha: Qatar has condemned the explosion that targeted the headquarters of a security directorate in the city of Mansoura in the Dakahlia governorate in Egypt, killing more than 12 people and injuring 130. The explosion also damaged the buildings.
In a statement to Qatar News Agency, a Foreign Ministry official source confirmed that Qatar condemns such acts which are contrary to all human values and called on all parties to exercise restraint and maintain stability and security in Egypt, which in turn means the stability of the region. The source reiterated Qatar’s firm stance against violence in all its manifestations and forms and whatever its source, stressing that dialogue between all parties is the only way to maintain national unity.
