BRUSSELS--NATO said the alliance will hold an "extraordinary" meeting of its NATO-Ukraine Commission later Monday, after an upsurge in fighting saw pro-Russian rebels carving out even more territory in the east.
NATO gave no reason for holding the 1300 GMT meeting of the Commission which provides a forum for the 28 alliance members and Ukraine to discuss issues of mutual concern.
