DOHA: Astad Project Management, a local consultancy, hosted a delegation from the US Green-Build Council (USGBC) as part of efforts to establish stronger regional cooperation between USGBC, Astad and key stakeholders for sustainable buildings, said a statement yesterday.
The meeting stressed Astad’s mission to continuously deliver iconic and sustainable projects compliant with the Qatari environment assessment system. The team included Mahesh Ramanujam, USGBC’s Chief Operating Officer, Kimberly Lewis, Vice-President and Community Development Official, and Kate Hurst, Vice-President.
They were hosted by Astad CEO, Ali Al Khalifa, and Sustainability Officer, Sheikh Saud Al Thani, and Meshal Al Shammari, Director, Qatar Green Building Council.
“Astad and USGBC are committed to a more sustainable tomorrow, which will only prove beneficial to all citizens around the world,” said Al Khalifa.
