Doha: The Prime Minister and Foreign Minister H E Sheikh Hamad bin Jassem bin Jabor Al Thani and French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius held a telephone conversation yesterday.
They discussed bilateral relations and means of enhancing them and issues of common interest. The latest preparations for the International Conference on Reconstruction and Development in Darfur, scheduled to be held in Doha next month, also featured in the conversation.
The Prime Minister and Foreign Minister discussed the Darfur meeting also with German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle and Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu over the phone.
Justice Minister issues decision
Doha: The Minister of Justice H E Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanim issued a decision seconding employees to occupy other jobs in the ministry.
According to the decision, Khalid Abdullah Al Zarraa, head of initial cases section at the Department of Government Cases, will be seconded as Director of the Department of Government Cases and Fahd Ahmed Al Mohamedi, Legal Adviser at the Fatwa (legal opinion) and Contracts Department, will be seconded as Assistant Director of the Fatwa and Contracts Department.
Indian embassy holiday
Doha: The Indian Embassy will remain closed tomorrow on the occasion of Holi.
