MES Indian School was ranked first with 141 medals (58 gold, 34 silver and 49 bronze) to its credit in the Schools Olympic Programme (SOP) 2014-15 under the aegis of Qatar Olympic Committee in individual and group events held at various locations. Around 221 school in boys’ events and 190 schools in girls’ events participated in the mega sports and games competitions which were conducted from September 2014 to March 2015 in Qatar.
The competitions were conducted in the primary, preparatory and secondary categories separately for boys’ and girls’ and MES Indian School won an unbeaten 141 medals in athletics, cross country, table tennis, fencing, shooting, taekwondo, volleyball, gymnastics and swimming competitions. The School Olympic Team comprised of more than 100 students from all the sections of the school.
“This thumping victory is the fruits of the tireless efforts, dedication and disciplined hard work of both students and teachers,” remarked Principal, Sasidharan A.P. while felicitating the winners on their astounding achievement.
