Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Interior has called on the public to remain vigilant and adopt strict digital safety practices to protect themselves from rising cyber risks.

In a recent advisory, the Ministry stressed the importance of verifying the source of any message before opening links or responding, particularly when dealing with unknown or suspicious contacts. It warned that cybercriminals often exploit unsuspecting users through deceptive messages and malicious links.

The alert specifically urged individuals not to engage with or open links from unverified sources, emphasising that awareness is a key factor in preventing cybercrimes.

Highlighting the role of personal responsibility in online safety, the Ministry noted that adhering to basic cybersecurity measures serves as the first line of defence against potential threats.
