Visa Direct
QIB is the first bank in Qatar to launch Visa Direct, a remittance solution for customers to pay from an account to any Visa Card instantly in over 25 countries in MENA Region, Europe and Asia.

Discreet Mode
QIB launched the first-of-its-kind “Discreet Mode” feature on its intuitive Mobile App, allowing customers to hide their accounts and card balances, deposits, and financial details when using the App in public places.
Conversational Virtual Assistant
QIB is the first bank in Qatar to launch a conversational virtual assistant armed with proprietary artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms. ’Zaki,’ meaning smart, allowing customers to interact with the bank 24/7.
Digital Card
QIB launched the first ever Digital Credit Card in Qatar on its Mobile App to enhance customers’ experience and offer them the opportunity to instantly issue their card, use it for online shopping and add it to their Apple wallet without the need to have a physical card. This innovative new product is part of QIB’s long-term digitalization strategy and is in line with the high interest for online shopping witnessed in Qatar and the Bank’s effort to reduce plastic.
The digital card is available to all eligible customers, to apply and obtain approval instantly through the QIB Mobile App. In addition, customers can view and use for their e-commerce transactions with card details like the 16-digit card number, expiry date and CVV, being visible to the cardholder in a unique and secure way. The digital card can also be added to Apple Pay instantly to be used either at point of sale (POS) terminals in physical shops or for e-commerce transactions.
Corporate Banking Goes Digital

QIB has continued its path toward accelerating the digitization of SME financing and launching new products providing a full package of financial solutions and services to its SME customers. These include Merchant Acquiring Services (POS), mobile POS, and online Wages Protection System (WPS) for the automatic processing of monthly payrolls, as well as a new co-branded corporate credit cards in collaboration with Ooredoo, and corporate deposit cards.
