Doha, Qatar: As part of its ongoing commitment to promoting healthy ageing and preventive healthcare, the Health Education Department under the Clinical Operations Directorate at Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) organised a series of hydration awareness sessions for older adults in collaboration with EHSAN Centre.

The sessions were delivered across EHSAN branches in Al Wakra, Northern Region, and Izghawa and with the aim of raising awareness about the importance of maintaining adequate hydration among older adults during the summer months, when they are particularly vulnerable to dehydration and heat-related complications.

Director of Clinical Operations and Senior Consultant Family Medicine, Dr. Maryam Al Emadi stated, “Hydration awareness is a fundamental component of healthy aging, particularly during the summer months when older adults are at increased risk of dehydration and heat-related illnesses. Through our collaboration with EHSAN Center,

“PHCC is extending preventive healthcare to empower older adults with evidence-based knowledge and healthy practices that support healthier lifestyles, preserve independence, and enhance quality of life. This initiative reflects our shared commitment to promoting health literacy and community wellbeing while advancing the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030, the National Health Strategy, and PHCC’s Corporate Strategy 2024-2030.”
