DOHA: Al Sadd football squad today will leave for Frankfurt to meet Germany’s Schalke 04 for a friendly to be played tomorrow evening at Faltenz Arena Stadium in Gjlasingarshen.
The friendly has been scheduled to help the two sides prepare for the new football season set to begin next month.
Al Sadd won the Qatar Stars League (QSL) title last season.
Head coach Al-Hussein Amute of Morocco is leading the squad on their short German trip, club officials said yesterday.
Spanish football giant Raul Gonzalez is also part of the Al Sadd squad. Raul played for FC Schalke 04 before signing for Al Sadd in May 2012.
