Doha: Qatar Stars League champions Al Rayyan have been handed a boost ahead of the new season, after the QFA announced that Al Rayyan midfielder Daniel Goumou is free to play for the side after serving a two-year suspension.
The development means that the defensive midfielder is free to play for Al Rayyan, once his ban expires on August 9.
Meanwhile Al Rayyan continued their preseason preparations on Sunday evening, training under the watchful eye of head coach Jorge Fossati and his staff.
The current QSL champions are set to head to Murcia, Spain for their preseason training camp .
Al Rayyan will stay in Spain till August 20 before returning to Qatar to prepare for their title-defense.
