Khartoum: The Sudanese Minister of Health Dr. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim hailed Qatar's supportive efforts in Sudan's various fields, especially in the health sector.
Qatar Charity (QC) delivered modern medical devices and supplies for blood tests to the Othman Digna Hospital in Port Sudan, while ultrasound machines, medical consumables, and nearly 11 tons of IV fluids were provided to other hospitals in Sudan.
The minister, who participated in the distribution of medical devices, noted Qatar's firm support to the health sector, particularly during this crisis, in addition to their previous support in implementing many projects during disasters.
For his part, Director of Qatar Charity's office in Sudan Omer Abdelaziz, affirmed the organization's keenness and interest in the rapid response to the humanitarian duty, praising the cooperation of the Ministry of Health to facilitate the work of Qatar Charity in this field.
He noted the arrangements currently underway to receive 65 tons of medicines and medical supplies to address the humanitarian situation, especially in the circumstances of war that the country is going through.
This assistance comes as part of Qatar Charity's continuous humanitarian efforts to support Sudan's health sector and provide medical supplies to its hospitals. Medicines, 10,000 blood bags, 5 ABG devices, an ultrasound machine, and many medical consumables were provided during the past days.
