LONDON: Libya's Marsa al-Brega oil port successfully loaded its first crude oil tanker over the weekend after re-opening at the start of last week when worker strikes ended, according to AIS Live ship-tracking data on Reuters.
The 110,000 tonne Vallesina crude oil tanker loaded around Aug. 24-25 and was now heading to Genova for orders, the data showed.
Libyan industry sources said the port re-opened last Tuesday.
The last tanker to load, the Delta Victory, was around Aug. 9, trading sources and AIS Live tracking showed.
The port has been opening and closing since the end of July due to the strikes. (Reuters)
