Kabul: At least two people were killed following an attack on anti-Taliban public uprising forces in northern Jawzjan province of Afghanistan.
The attack was carried out by Taliban militants in Mardian district. The public uprising forces resisted the Taliban militants attack for several hours but were forced to retreat after their ammunition finished, according to the Afghan (Khaama Press).
Provincial security chief, Syed Zaman Hussaini, confirmed the incident and said the victims were close relatives of a commander of anti-Taliban uprising forces.
