Students on the first day of the academic year at Valley Forge Academy Qatar.
Doha: Valley Forge Academy Qatar (VFAQ) welcomed their first group of future world leaders on Sunday for the 22/23 academic year at their brand-new state of the art campus in Aspire Zone 2.
Valley Forge Academy Qatar’s new vision for education combines a century of academic experience in the United States with a strong commitment to integrate programmes in an excellent Arabic language, Islamic Studies and Qatari culture and values.
The high level of excitement was apparent as parents, students and families explored the brand-new campus that was purposely built to promote a healthy, active and technology driven learning environment for the VFAQ boys. The modern campus stretches up to 420,000sqft and is equipped to facilitate more than 1,700 students. The first phase of the campus is fully functional which includes an amazing Pre-K building with shaded outdoor space and a lower school building. The facilities building that is equipped with gaming facilities, sport fields and a swimming pool is set to finish later this year.
The new President, Dr. Paul M Lea IV leads the VFAQ campus. Dr. Lea comes to VFA Qatar after serving four years as Dean of the Academy at Valley Forge Military Academy (VFMA) where he ran the schoolhouse for all boys ranging from 7th to 12th grade. Dr. Lea is an accomplished professional recognised as a vital leader in the overall success of multiple projects.
He comes to Qatar with a firm belief and understanding that investing time and energy in helping your sons become the future leaders of tomorrow will pay positive dividends to the future of Qatar and the international community. Dr. Lea believes in a well-rounded education that will make these young men a credit to themselves, their families, and their country.
The school is also equipped with the highest qualified and experienced staff members. The amazing new team includes passionate, highly skilled and experienced staff. All staff members including teachers, learning assistants, counsellors and administrators were carefully selected to make up the dynamic VFAQ team. Team members must exhibit a strong code of ethics and drive as they guide their students towards becoming the future leaders of Qatar.
Lower School Principal Clare Sharp said: “At Valley Forge Academy, we believe every child has the potential to become someone great. All it takes is the proper guidance. Our dedicated and passionate teachers treat each child as an individual, equipping them with everything they need to go on and lead an extraordinary life as a man. By instilling ambition, discipline and inspiring purpose, we are forging the next generation of leaders—preparing them for greatness in whatever path they choose to take through college and beyond.” The school is currently accepting boys Pre-K to Grade 7 and will open up the next phase for Grade 8 to Grade 12 in the next academic year 23/24.
