Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Labour (MoL), represented by the Department of Qualifying & Skills Development, today organised a specialised training course in collaboration with the Qatar Association of Certified Public Accountants.
The course targeted jobseekers in the private sector, among Qatari nationals and children of Qatari women specialising in accounting, under the title “Financial Planning and Investment Principles”. The aim was to qualify and prepare them for employment in the labour market.
The training course, held on 24 and 27 August, came as part of the Ministry’s efforts and commitment to equipping and training the national workforce, strengthening the labour market with skilled Qatari talent, and increasing their share in the private sector workforce, in support of the nationalisation plan.
This also aligns with the National Strategy for an Efficient and Highly Productive Workforce 2024–2030, which seeks to build a pool of highly qualified national competencies with competitive capabilities to meet the needs of the country’s strategic economic sectors.
Through its initiatives, programmes, and training courses organised throughout the year in cooperation with its partners, the Ministry of Labour aims to build a foundation of national workforce competencies and skills capable of contributing to sustainable development, and enhancing Qatar’s position as a global hub for innovation and knowledge, in line with Qatar National Vision 2030.
