Aspire to raise awareness of volunteering

DOHA: Aspire Zone Foundation (AZF) yesterday signed an agreement to fully support the Kafu Awareness Campaign activities spearheaded by the Social Development Centre (SDC).

Launched in 2008, the campaign is designed to increase volunteering awareness in Qatar and has already attracted a number of political, social, cultural and sports personalities. It will feature various activities which will be held early next year including the Volunteer Awards. AZF will be an official sponsor at the award ceremony in February.

The signing was attended by Hamad Saif Buhindi, Public Relations and Media Manager at AZF, and Fahad A B Al Amri, Administration and Finance Manager at SDC.

“We are absolutely delighted with the partnership. The agreement brings together two local organizations that are passionate and are dedicated to helping the community. We share many of the same goals and values of inspiring the public,” said Buhindi.

“We hope that this partnership will also open up new avenues of corporation with like-minded organizations with charitable and social missions,” he added. 

Al Amri praised AZF’s role in sponsoring the campaign: “Aspire Zone’s interest in the Kafu Awareness Campaign reflects their commitment to social responsibility. It additionally stresses the vital role SDC plays in collaborating with organizations in Qatar to encourage voluntary work, which will ultimately help motivate young people to achieve their ambitions.”
