Doha: Ministry of Interior (MoI) reminded citizens and residents not to leave the car engine running especially when the vehicle is unattended.
On Twitter, the Ministry stated: "Leaving the car engine running and getting off it for any reason, even only for a short time, is contrary to traffic regulations."
The Ministry stated that doing so will expose one to crime and increases the risk of traffic accidents.
The Ministry also reminded citizens and residents that security is a shared responsibility.
