Doha: On its official social media platforms, McDonald's Qatar has warned customers of numerous fake websites impersonating its business in the country.
In the post, McDonald's Qatar said: "We have been made aware of numerous fraudulent websites impersonating our business in Qatar. They are reportedly advertising fake offers and requesting bank details from customers for fake and fraudulent transactions."
It also affirmed that the problem has been reported and it is working closely with the local authorities to rectify the matter and take down the fake websites.
It also encouraged its customers to avoid engaging with non-verified McDonald's social media platforms. It also further advised its customers to only place orders on its official MyMcDonald's App and on its official websites to ensure optimum security.
