Doha: The Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage, H E Dr Hamad bin Abdul Aziz Al Kuwari starts today a visit to Poland, at an official invitation by his Polish counterpart Bogdan Zdrojewski.
During the visit, Dr Al Kuwari will discuss means of activating the cooperation programme between the two countries in the fields of culture and art.
He will also discuss organisation of cultural events between both countries.
Envoy presents credentials to Ban
New York: Qatar’s Permanent Delegate to the United Nations, Sheikha Alyaa Ahmed bin Saif Al Thani, presented her credentials to Secretary-General Ban ki-Moon
Sheikha Alyaa conveyed to Ban greetings of the Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
She underlined Qatar’s care and support for the UN principles.
She also reiterated the importance of the role being played by the global organisation in maintaining international security and peace.
Ban praised Qatar’s role at the UN in all fields.
