ROME: HE Nasser Abdulaziz Al Nasr, the UN High Representative for the Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) separately met here on Saturday with Italian Foreign Minister Emma Bonino and Jos? Graziano da Silva, the Director General of the Food and agriculture organisation (FAO) of the UN .
During his three days'visit to Italy which concluded earlier Friday, HE Al Nasr held talks with Emma Bonino focussing on scopes of cooperation between the UN alliance of civilization and the italian government especially in alliance programmes related to migration, media, youth and education.
During the meeting, the italian FM stressed her country's due keenness to enhance cooperation with the UNAOC particularly in programmes of dialogue between religions, media coverage of topics relate dto migration and youths.
Later HE al nasr met with Jos? Graziano da Silva at the Rome-based headquarters of the UNFAO and discussed joint projects that could be carried out between the two sides, the UNAOC and the Food and agriculture organisation (FAO).
Earlier Wednesday, HE Al Nasr visited Romania and held several meetings with prime minister Victor Ponta, Foreign Minister Titus Corlatean and president of the senate of Romania Crin Antonescu who invited HE Al Nasr to address the Romanian parliament during the visit.
Talks during these meetings dealt with frames of cooperation between the romanian government and the UN alliance of civilization via launching joint programmes and activities to enhance dialogue between religions and cultures.
The distinguished Qatari diplomat also briefed the Prime Minister of Romania on the action plan for regional strategy to promote dialogue between religions in the Balkans and Scandinavia in collaboration with the Government of Austria . (QNA)
