DOHA: ExxonMobil Qatar participated in the 4th International Gas Processing Symposium, organised by Qatar University’s Gas Processing Center.
The event, held under the patronage of the Minister of Energy and Industry, H E Dr Mohamed bin Saleh Al Sada, was attended by QU President Prof Sheikha Abdulla Al Misnad, Managing Director of Qatar Petroleum Saad Al Kaabi and Alistair Routledge, Vice President and Joint Interest Manager, ExxonMobil Qatar Inc, among others.
ExxonMobil has supported three consecutive editions of the symposium through sponsorship and is the main sponsor for this year’s event, which will focus on natural gas and the world energy mix; and include plenary sessions presented by key industrial senior management, keynote speeches, technical sessions, and paper presentations.
Routledge addressed the symposium, highlighting ExxonMobil Qatar’s support for the event as its main sponsor. He congratulated Qatar University and its Gas Processing Center for organising this symposium, and for bringing together industry colleagues and a group of students who have the potential to be Qatar’s energy industry’s future group of professionals.”
ExxonMobil Qatar’s collaboration with Qatar University includes a variety of educational programmes, such as Life is Engineering, the Qatar University ExxonMobil Teachers Academy, and most recently collaboration to further environmental research and marine mammal initiatives, including the dugong population in the State of Qatar coastal waters to name a few.
