CBSE Qatar Cluster Taekwondo Championship was held at Ideal Indian School (IIS) premises recently. Around 100 students from various Indian Schools took part in the one day event.
Teams from Ideal Indian School, MES Indian School, Shantiniketan Indian School, Birla Public School and DPS –MIS participated in the championship in thirty weight categories under various age groups. Ideal Indian School Principal Syed Shoukath Ali inaugurated the meet.
Ideal Indian school bagged the overall championship in boys categories with 10 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze.
The team was trained by Amazad Khan, Martial Arts Coach, Ideal Indian School.
MES Indian School bagged the overall in girl’s categories. Mohamed Nowfal, HOD Sports coordinated the meet.
