Fadi Ghosn is marketing director of Nissan Mideast

DOHA: Fadi Ghosn (pictured), one of the top executives in the automotive industry in the Middle East, has joined Japanese auto maker Nissan. Ghosn, who possesses a wealth of experience in the industry, has been appointed marketing director/chief marketing officer for Nissan Middle East. He will report directly to Samir Cherfan, the company’s regional managing director.
“Marketing has played a key role in supporting Nissan Middle East’s business expansion and within the continued growth of our brand in the region. Our exceptional product line-up is responsible for our success and we are firm believers in glorifying our models through impactful and effective marketing strategies. With his extensive industry experience we know that Fadi will play a pivotal role in this capacity,” says Cherfan.
Nissan Middle East has experienced significant growth in recent years, culminating in its strong FY2014 financial results, which saw it announce record breaking annual sales of 219,129 units across the region, up 3.3 percent on 2013. In addition, Nissan Middle East has also initiated important changes such as the rejuvenation of its operations in Saudi Arabia as well as the expansion of its regional market focus to include Turkey.
