​Emir gives nod for Qatar-Panama talks

Doha: The Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani issued yesterday an instrument of ratification, approving a draft memorandum of understanding to hold political talks between the Qatari Foreign Ministry and its counterpart in Panama. 
The MoU was signed in Panama City on October 10, 2013. 
The Emir also issued an instrument of ratification, approving a draft air services agreement between Qatar and the Hong Kong Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China, signed in Hong Kong on May 1, 1999.

Emir appoints new ambassadors

Doha: The Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani issued yesterday Emiri decision No. 153 of 2013, appointing Khalid Fahd Fahd Al Khater as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Netherlands.
The Emir also issued Emiri decision No. 1954 of 2013, appointing Ali Hamad Al Sulaiti as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Iran.
The Emir issued Emiri decision No. 155 of 2013, appointing Fahd Mohamed Youssuf Kafoud as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Canada.

Emir ratifies Cabinet decision on Ashghal

Doha: The Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani ratified Cabinet decision No. 52 of 2013 amending regulations of some administrative units of the Public Works Authority.

Emir, Premier send greetings to  Bosnia
Doha: The Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani sent yesterday a cable of congratulations to the Croat Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Željko Komši, on his country’s National Day. The Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani also sent a similar cable.

Attiyah meets India, Jordan, Oman envoys

Doha: The Minister of State for Defence Affairs H E Maj. Gen. Hamad bin Ali Al Attiyah held yesterday separate talks with ambassadors Mohamed Nasser Al Wehaibi (Oman), Zahi Mohamed Al Samadi (Jordan), Sanjiv Arora (India) and Mohamed Mursi Awad (Egypt). QNA
