Six students from DPS-MIS - Aina Merchant, Nakshatra Gayan, Kirti Mishra, Akshal Jain, Shivom Dhamija and Joel Alex- attended a series of six debate workshops at the HBKU Student Center over a course of 6 weeks, from October 16 to November 20.
The workshops were conducted by Alex, Tasneem and Rashid, the captains of the Qatar National Debate team.
They learned about various themes that are very relevant to understanding debate.
These themes included Liberalism, Capitalism, Marxism, Economics, Jurisprudence, Minority Rights, and many more.
The workshops were very interactive and not only did the students learn a lot but also it gave them opportunities to delve into activities consisting of critical thinking and current affairs.
