DOHA: Qatar Foundation hosted Morocco’s Minister of Handicrafts, Social Economy and Solidarity, Fatima Marouane, yesterday.
She is in Doha at the head of an official delegation to foster greater commercial and industrial business cooperation. Qatar and Morocco are already linked through agreements in various areas.
A welcoming committee led by Engineer Saad Al Muhannadi, President of Qatar Foundation, received Marouane at the QF Visitors Centre. She and her delegation were given a presentation on QF vision and mission, educational initiatives, community development plans and scientific research programmes. Appointed to her post earlier this year, Marouane is a member of Morocco’s National Council of the National Assembly of Independents and the Council of the Region of Casablanca City. She is also a laureate at the Faculty of Medicine of Lyon and former president of the Moroccan Endocrinology Diabetes and Nutrition Society. She was also briefed on QF’s sustainability initiatives and green solutions and shown a 3D scale model of current buildings and construction projects under way at QF.
