Doha: The Republic Day 2023 celebration at DPS Monarch International School yesterday marked the 74th Republic Day of India. 

The celebration was commenced with the march past led by the school student council. Senior head of council and Head Girl Haniya Mirza, extended  hearty welcome to  the chief guest Hassan Chougule, School President, Executive Committee members, Principal  Meenal Bakshi, Secondary Headmistress Madhu Uppal, Kindergarten and Primary Headmaster,  Sujith Kumar, coordinators, teaching and non-teaching staff. 

The celebration of the day featured with an another first, of the unfurling of the promise of India , the tricolor proudly reminisced the velour and sacrifice of the great leaders .

Then, all in unison sang the Indian national anthem expressing the joy of freedom and paying tribute to the nation and towards the path of Dharma- The path of truth and justice.

The school premises were decked in tricolour with the ‘tiranga’ fluttering sky high was a sight to behold. 

The school choir rendered a fabulous medley of songs that filled the atmosphere with patriotic zeal to commemorate the nation’s sovereignty and express in-depth gratitude. President Hassan Chougule addressed the gathering by emphasizing the day’s importance highlighting the unique attribute of being an Indian. Junior head of council Kavya Kulkarni rendered a speech with utmost eloquence and patriotism. 

The celebration was transcended to another dimension by principal’s speech which served as an encouragement and a holistic trajectory to the youth and 21st century learners. Senior head of council Rishi Vikram Singh, proposed the vote of thanks, expressing the gratitude and thanking the dignitaries, guests, and all the teaching and non-teaching staff for making the auspicious occasion a memorable one.
