DOHA: The Qatar Exchange down on Wednesday 80.81 points or 0.94 percent to 8,491.56 points from the previous closing of 8,572.37 points.
The volume of shares traded fell to 5,444,388 from 8,084,358 Tuesday and the value of shares decreased to QR233,141,911.54 from QR275,190,487.31 Tuesday.
Among the top losers were Commercial Bank of Qatar whose share dropped 9.93 percent to QR68.00, electricity and Water lost 1.34 percent to QR132.90, Doha Insurance fell 1.58 percent to QR28.05 and Vodafone Qatar down 1.30 percent to QR8.37.
Today the Qatar Banking and Financial sector up 0.14 points while the Insurance sector added 1.36 points.
The Qatar industrial sector dropped 0.78 points and the Services sector gained 0.03 points. (QNA)
