Doha: The Alumni Association of Ideal Indian School (IISAA) recently organised its first Women’s Throwball Tournament in the school premises.
The Alumni Sports Committee put its best efforts to pool players from IIS Alumni Association. The participants who registered enthusiastically were from the school batch year 1995 –2018. Team Force Fifteen lifted the championship trophy by defeating Team Smash in the finals.
Dr. Aqsa Patel, Cultural Chairman of IISAA welcomed the gathering Faheem Faisal, Sports Committee Chairman, led the lined-up teams’ oath-taking.
Charleston Cardozo, Sports Secretary IISAA hosted the prize distribution ceremony. The First Women Throw ball Tournament winners were awarded Trophies, Medals and Certificates. Certificates of appreciation were given to all the participating teams and to the Supporting staff.
Speaking on the occasion Jishad Hyderali, President of IISAA said that as each event concludes successfully the IISAA strives to become stronger and stronger, helping to achieve the vision dreamed of by Shaikh Shamim Saheb, Principal of Ideal Indian School.
“IISAA Committee is confident that the association will grow to become one of the largest communities in Qatar and have much greater contributions to society and be a helping hand for the future of present Idealites,” he added.
