Doha: Qatari schools won three places in the second round of the Future Science Challenge competition, organized by Hamdan bin Rashid Center for Giftedness and Innovation of Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award For Distinguished Academic Performance in the United Arab Emirates.
The Special Education and Gifted Students Department at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education said in a statement that the students of the State of Qatar won three places in the Future Science Challenge competition.
Students from Qatar Science and Technology Secondary School for Boys won the future science challenge champion award for the professional category, while students from Qatar Technical Secondary School for Boys won the best designer position for the professional category, the statement said.
Students of the science club that participated on behalf of Royal Grammar School and Qatar Academy for Girls won the best innovator award for the junior category, the statement added.
Qatar participated with 21 government schools affiliated to the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in the competition, with 68 gifted students and 31 projects.
