The seminar, titled “Together against crime”, was organised by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the ministry.

In his welcome address, assistant head of the criminal investigation section at Rayyan Security Department, Captain Ali Hassan Al Kuwari, said the seminar was part of efforts to create a partnership with owners and managements of different companies with the aim of protecting the community from crimes.

First Lieutenant Abdullah Dhamn Al Muhannadi, officer of crime investigation at Rayyan Security Department, gave a lecture on precautionary measures to be taken by financial institutions and money exchanges to prevent incidents of theft and robbery.

The lecture focused on securing gates and windows, keeping cash and important documents in a proper way and proper usage of safe lockers.

He advised the companies on proper training of security guards, stressing the need for detecting suspicious activities and providing information about this to the security authorities. He also said that proper documents and copies of ID cards should be kept in case of people buying used items such as mobile phones, computers and laptops.
