DOHA: Reach Out To Asia (Rota) recently honoured volunteers and partners for their outstanding contribution to Wheels ‘n’ Heels Family Fun Day — Qatar’s biggest community event of the year.
Dr Sheikha Aisha bint Faleh bin Nasser Al Thani, Rota Board Member, officials and dignitaries attended the event, which honoured more than 130 volunteers, sponsors and partners’ representatives.
“I want to thank H E Sheikha Mayassa for her support in inspiring everyone living in Qatar to embrace the event’s key message: Live a healthy lifestyle through regular exercise, healthy food and a safe environment,” said Sheikha Aisha. She thanked Flagship Sponsor Maersk Oil, Leadership Sponsor Commercialbank and Wheels ‘n’ Heels partners Qatar Cycling Federation, Aspire, Child Cultural Centre, Al Sadd Sports Club, Qatar Olympic Committee, Ooredoo, Qatar Cancer Association, Dhreima, Kids on the Go and Civil Defence.
“I want to praise the contribution of the volunteers whose hard work ensures Wheels ‘n’ Heels is a success year after year, and to extend my sincere appreciation to all the volunteers who participated and demonstrated tireless commitment in contributing to the successful coordination of the Alfardan Group’s National Sports Day for Children with Special Needs,” she added.
