Doha: Maintaining their winning streak, DPS-Modern Indian School mathematical minds yet again registered a smashing victory for the third consecutive year in the 2023 Pi Day Math Contest organised by Carnegie Mellon University, Qatar (CMU-Q).
A total of 126 teams, representing 82 government and private high schools in Qatar competed in the preliminary round and out of the four teams that advanced to the finals , two teams were from DPS Modern Indian School.
DPS-Modern Indian School Team B comprising Ritvik Vardhan Reddy Kanjula, Himanshu Gupta, Azhar Jaleel, Muhammed and Kamali Ramesh won the coveted first position, followed by Team A with Theertha Aravind, Ajay Sharma Sambara, Aritra Ghosh and Geetika Yalamanchili as the runners up of the competition.
Both the teams amazed the organisers with their extraordinary problem solving and analytical skills and finally the tie breaker round decided their first and second positions.

Pi Day Mathematics Competition was introduced by CMU-Q in 2016 to encourage high school students to explore the fun side of mathematics.
