Doha: The Land Customs authorities at Abu Samra Border foiled an attempt to smuggle narcotics into Qatar.
Customs stated that they seized hashish weighing 266.57 gms at the border. "The passengers were behaving suspiciously and when they were inspected, hashish was found weighing a total of 266.57 gm," stated Qatar Customs on its social media.
The security authorities responsible for receiving these materials were summoned and seizure report was prepared.
Customs officers are provided with all means of support including the latest devices and continuous training to read the body language of passengers and to be aware of the latest methods followed by smugglers.
