Greeting cables sent to Tanzania

Doha: Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani sent a cable of greetings to President of Tanzania Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete on the occasion of his country’s National Day. Deputy Emir H H Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Thani and Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani sent similar cables to Tanzanian president on the same occasion.
Mauritanian minister received

Doha: Minister of Administrative Development H E  Dr Issa Saad Al Jafali Al Nuaimi met yesterday with Mauritanian  Minister of Public Service, Labour and Administration Modernisation Seyidna Ali Ould Mohamed Khouna. They discussed bilateral relations and issues of common concern.
February 22 Road speed limit

DOHA: Speed limit on the February 22 Road is expected to be reversed to 100km per hour shortly, a local Arabic daily reported yesterday.
The traffic authorities a few months ago reduced the speed limit on this key artery to 80km per hour triggering criticism from various circles, including the Advisory Council.
Advisory Council recently asked the Traffic Department to review the decision, saying the reduced speed limit has caused traffic jams and confusion for motorists.
